I’d probably put this at around 4 stars. When I first opened it, there was this kind of waxy smell that I definitely noticed. It wasn’t awful or anything, just sort of there, and I had a weird feeling about it at first.

Once it was actually lit, though, I liked it a lot more. The smell was way cleaner than a regular campfire, and I didn’t feel like my clothes were completely soaked in smoke afterward, which made a bigger difference than I expected.
The only part I didn’t love was the first few minutes, because it had this melted-candle kind of smell that felt a little off. But it faded quickly, and after that it was really easy to be around. Overall, I felt good about it...

I kind of judge anything fire-related by how annoying it is to clean up afterward, and this one passed that test. I used the Radiate campfire on our patio and expected some soot or black residue, but there was barely any. My hands stayed clean when I packed it up, and the table wiped down fast. It still smelled like a real fire, which was the main thing I wanted. Easy setup, easy cleanup, so in my book I’d buy it again

I didnt have to wait long at all. Support replied fast and got my issue sorted out, so I was happy with how it went.

I used to feel kind of trapped whenever we had it on, like I had to constantly hover and keep the kids and dog away. This feels much safer since there aren’t sparks flying around, so I can actually relax a bit.

The downside was the wax leaking. It ended up on the side of the tin and made a mess inside my bag, even though I’m sure I had it packed upright. I feel like if a product is meant to be taken camping or traveling, it should be sealed a little more responsibly.
It wasn’t a total disaster, but for the price, it was definitely annoying. I’d still use it again because the concept is solid, but I’d be extra careful about how I store it and probably keep it in a separate bag.

It lights up easily and looks nice at first, so I thought it was going to be solid. But once I used it outside with a little wind, the flame felt weak. It’s fine for small stuff, but not as strong as I was hoping. Kind of felt like the goalposts kept moving, works okay in perfect conditions, but the second you expect a bit more, it doesn’t really keep up.

The only thing I noticed was one can seemed to run out or fade a little faster than the others, so I’d knock off a star for that.
